Whether the result of a natural disaster or the furry of the gods, the roughly 8 mile wide, 4 mile deep crater on the western edge of the country had resulted in the area now nothing more than a vast desert known as The Great Ego as far as the eye can see, the once great crater now lost to cartographers and explorers as the sands of time had covered it completely. The western land had become the home to agorians, naturally suited to the near unbearable heat for most other races. They closely guard their desert, the exterior covered in deadly traps and acid quick sand.
The north was a vast forest of Giant Vords , 450 foot tall trees home to a variety of the elven races, wildlife and powerful monster. The tallest tree standing at over 700 feet, The Revorda, once the living castle of a high elf ruling family. After the fall of the rule of law after monsters began to appear more often and the area more wild, was now home to a lose group of nature god worshipers and cultist hell bent on preserving the old ways and slowing the rapid progress of industry.
To the east lies the shining city of Elarian Spire, formerly the only farm land in the continent of Elaria only 50 years prior, the large 500 square mile city was the site of the discovery of a non magical shining stone named Ulcromite. It was soon discovered you could infuse it with some forms of magic, even a small amount, and the Ulcromite would adopt the elements of that spell, leading to many advancements such has near infinite stored energy to power new machines in factories, light and heat interiors with light and fire magic, create limited magical barriers with protective spells, the largest such barrier being The Spire, the massive Ulcromite tower dwarfing even The Revorda, Reaching so far past the clouds no one knows its exact height, some say over 1000 feet high, also acting as a protective dome raised after The siege of Nyxdrogo, a giant black elder dragon who destroyed nearly a 1/3rd of the city in hopes of claiming the deep Ulcromite Caverns under the city as its new treasure next. She was foiled and felled by Tarrik Stoneborn with a rare Ulcromite blade. Since the dome was raised and the city was truly safe, progress in science and technology had become the largest focus and lead to many advancements, most of them powered in some way by Ulcromite. Soon the rest of the world realized the value of Ulcromite and the progress that came with it and the city soon became the bustling trade hub of the world and the defacto seat of power in Elaria, Ruled by the Gnomish King Ortho Alari and 3 of the remaining The Five Families, made up of the only 5 families in former farmland who refused to sell their land like most of the region after the discovery of Ulcromite, now the ruling class and royalty over the entire continent, as even the argonians and wood people knew they could not win a war against The Spire as tales of war machines had been spread throughout the land
The south was a wild and still mostly unexplored vast wildland , the region just as diverse in biome as the entire land mass. This area covers over half the continent and not alot is known about its inhabitants
